Vimeo's review page feature is awesome. It is available for all Business and Pro users, and it can be turned on or off for any video.
Since so many of us who use Vimeo, use it as a tool to share the videos we create with our clients, the review page allows for an easy way for clients to provide time specific and location on frame specific feedback.
Our clients at Imagination Creations love it since it makes providing feedback so fast and easy. They simply click anywhere in the frame and any point in time and leave a comment.
You, as the creator, can then accept their comment by clicking a check mark, delete their comment, or reply to it. Comments appear as a list on the right-hand side of the video, but tick marks also appear along the playback bar, making it easy to click any tick mark and jump to that comment.
Comments are searchable, and they can also be downloaded as a csv file.
Vimeo makes it so easy... too easy in fact, that it sometimes empowers clients to feel like that have to comment on every frame of the video :)
The feature is not exclusive to the creator-client relationship, it is also a great way to collaborate with colleagues, directors, color graders, audio engineers, etc.
Vimeo did a great job with their video review feature, and we recommend you give it a try. It might be the feature that pushes you to upgrade your account from basic to pro!
